Closures & Major Violations
These establishments were closed by inspectors or received violations serious enough to pose an immediate public health risk. Violations in this category include evidence of pests, improper food temperature control, contaminated food-contact surfaces, or conditions that create imminent danger to public health. A follow-up inspection is required before any closed establishment can reopen, and some may face additional scrutiny or civil penalties.
Bamboo β 7202 Menaul Blvd NE. Inspected July 10. Live cockroaches were present in the warewashing area and the dining room, along with numerous dead ones. Walls, equipment, shelving, and the interior of the slicer had debris buildup, with holes, gaps, and cracks throughout. The facility reopened under an Unsatisfactory grade and will be re-inspected more frequently.
Eat My Thai Cuisine β 5303 Gibson Blvd SE. Inspected July 9. More than 20 dead cockroaches were found throughout the facility. Both kitchen handwashing sinks were blocked, one sink had no soap while the other used watered-down soap in a water bottle, and food across all cold holding units carried no date marks. Multiple items were cold holding above 41 degrees. Closed, re-inspection required.
KFC β 12921 Central Ave NE. Inspected July 8. Two to four dozen dead cockroaches were found in the kitchen and dining room with no pest control in place. All sanitizer buckets were empty when the store opened, and soda nozzles and food pans had buildup. Closed, re-inspection required.
Which Wich 219 β 8110 Louisiana Blvd NE. Inspected July 8. The toilet would not flush, a three-compartment sink sprayer leaked water under the wall into the dining walkway, and a prep top cooler held cut vegetables and other food between 53 and 58 degrees. A conveyor toaster oven had severe buildup on the belt and drive shaft. Closed, re-inspection required. A follow-up inspection the same day returned a Conditional Approved result.
Conditional Approvals
These establishments remain open but were given conditional approval following their inspection. They were found to have violations that, while not immediately dangerous, require prompt correction. Each must address the identified issues within a defined window set by inspectors. Failure to correct the violations within that timeframe triggers a mandatory re-inspection and may result in conditional status being revoked or the establishment being closed.
